Product Manager

What will you be doing?

As Product Manager, you will be responsible for an empowered product team that owns an important part of our platform. This means:

• Product Discovery: You will spend a significant part of your time on product discovery. This means that you will be in frequent contact with customers to validate problems, needs and solutions so that we can quickly learn what works and what doesn't. Based on this, you will help build the product and business strategy.

• Solving problems, not building features: You will focus on specific problems that need to be solved for the customer or the company, rather than a roadmap of functionalities that you need to implement. You will be responsible for discovering solutions that actually deliver the desired outcomes.

• Managing risks: You are specifically responsible for the value (will customers buy/use it?) and business viability (does this solution work for our sales, marketing, developers, etc.?) of the solutions you choose.

• In-depth collaboration: continuous collaboration where technology, design and functionality are intertwined to arrive at the best solution.

• Communication: You share the product vision, strategy, and lessons learned from customer interactions with stakeholders and your team to inspire everyone and get them on the same page.

Who is 12Build?

With a healthy dose of Drive, Openness and Happiness, we are building a transparent construction sector. We are not only a SaaS platform that connects construction companies and promotes collaboration, we are also the market leader in the Netherlands. We have been around for almost twenty years and we are still growing. Our team now consists of more than 90 colleagues, working together from two offices and various home offices throughout Europe. A large part of the construction world in the Benelux, Germany and Denmark already works on our platform and uses our software on a daily basis. We are looking for someone who, as Product Manager, wants to take real responsibility for the success of the product. We expect you to develop into an expert in the following four areas:

• The customer and the market: You know the industry (or are willing to learn about it) and you are interested in our customers. You also keep abreast of the competition and relevant technological trends.

• Vision and strategy: You are able to create a product vision and strategy and translate this into a concrete roadmap.

• Data: You are comfortable with both quantitative and qualitative data and use this to support decisions.

• 12Build: You understand how our business works and you interact easily with your (internal) stakeholders.

But also:

• Ownership: You take ownership of the results and feel responsible for solving (customer) problems, not just for performing tasks.

• You are smart, creative and persistent: You are keen to apply new technologies to customer problems, you have the creativity to think outside the box, and the persistence to steer solutions through the organisation.

• Collaboration with Product Marketing: You understand that a great product alone is not enough. You work closely with Product Marketing to align the go-to-market strategy, positioning and messaging so that the product actually reaches and is understood by the market.

• Track record: You have several years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner and are ready to take the next step. For example, you would also like to contribute to the growth and professionalisation of our organisation as a whole.
